Make Money Online with a (13)?-Year Old.

Yeah, you might think my review of the “Making money online” blogs might never end, would you? Rest assured, I will post only the best ones out there.

Carlocab.com is a blog about making money, run by a 14-year old blogger, Carl Ocab. He just turned 14, so you might think that he should change his blog title to ‘Make Money Online with a 14 year old’. But he doesn’t. He has built a good brand, and as he says, he should stick with it.

It was his 14th birthday on 25th May. I wished him there, but here is it again :

Carl decided to go generous too, and launched a $220 contest. So, this is a Happy Birthday post as well as an entry to the contest.

Carlocab.com has good posts about everything…successful blogging, adding Adsense to blogs, and also, like John Chow, he has a “Review Me and get a link-back” going on. He has a good theme selection as well, and also, tutorials on how to get rich..(not how to get rich quick). Carlocab.com is a good blog about making money online, and one of my favourite blogs as well.

  2. Its crazy how much of these young guys are making a killing online. I’m also active in affiliate marketing but when i was 14 I was thinking about cartoons and games, not making money online. Children don´t have the time to just be children anymore

  3. I already heard about this 13 yr old money maker and found out that he’s a filipino just like me and I’m proud of him. I’m 3x his age and still on the hot trail on making money online. I think I’ll post an entry on his birthday.

  12. I have 6 year old identical twin girls.
    They have a very normal life.
    They dance , take Tai Quon do (hope I spelled that right)
    But, they are very bright and I am teaching them about online marketing, as long as they enjoy it, I think it is important that they learn.
    The world is constantly changing , you can fight it or go with it.
    I have 4 websites I make a living from and am building more all the time.
    It would be great if they took over for me someday.

  14. It’s very inspiring to see someone so young understand and capitalize on ways to make money online. It was his experience and site that motivated me to try this out myself. It’s not much, but i launched an affiliate site at http://www.pc-registry-repair.com

  15. I have to agree with Nicks earlier post. Kids are already too concerned with making money as affiliate marketers. I admire it as they’ll probably turn out to be really successful but at that age, it just seems like they should be focused more on just having fun and enjoying their youth.

  23. When I was 14, I was probably coping with my studies. But this kid is such a genius to be doing this at this age.

  24. Great story. I had great ambitions as well when I was 14 but they were more like making 5 bucks mowing somebody’s lawn then using the money to go see a movie - that was a productive day for me.

  26. Wow, this story is amazing. I was busy dirtballing other kids and cruising on my BMX when I was that age.

    Wonder if the level of business for this kid is a reflection of a competitive world?

  27. Kids these days are going to blow us away in a few years. It is amazing what my four year old can do when playing games online and how is little brain is able to figure things out. I know a lot of people disagree with letting kids that young be on computers but I think that computers, the internet and whatever else they come up with are going to be such a core part of their lives that I don’t mind if he gets a head start. Of course, now if I just need to work on limiting his time on Lego Star Wars, teach him to read, and then he can help me online!

  31. Thanks for the post. However there are many reports that the site is not really managed by Carl Ocab - it is maintained by Ghost writers. I am familiar with Filipino English and his writings do not have any hint of Filipino English too. May be just a ploy to get sympathy and curiosity which ultimately results in a buzz and traffic.

  33. I can tell you right now, some people are born to be entrpreneurs. Some people make themselves. The 13 year old was one of those born. He will have a rich and fulfilling life with start-ups, business building … and yeah, making money!

  34. Thanks for the info. I searched for this kid’s videos on the web to see if he can really speak well in the same manner he writes, but I could not find any. I can not believe such stories unless I see the person answering questions from knowledgeable people.

  36. Can I just say, and maybe this is obvious to everyone, isn’t the whole “13 year old kid” just a publicity stunt? I feel sure his dad is the one really running things from the background.

  37. Count me as one of those that would like to see a little proof that the guy is 13 years old. If so, more power to him. If not, screw the guru who is trying to deceive others.

  40. It’s true - kids these days have all the skills to blog/backlink and come up with creative ways to market their blog. Once someone shows them an easy way to monetize what they already do - bam, the money starts rolling in. There is a similar kid in Canada who is doing the same thing, cant remember the name off hand. Great art - ill go look at his blog.
